Here where we find and propose our houses. "Riomaggiore" is the first location of the "Cinque Terre" which you find coming from "La Spezia" going west.
Situated in the "Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre" (National park of Cinque Terre) and appears on the "Area Marina Protetta delle Cinque Terre" (Protected marine area of Cinque Stelle), rises along the straight valley of the "Rio Maior" (River Maior).
The houses are distributed along its course, descending to the sea. The 1500 habitants are living in a common sense between the tradition tying up to the agriculture - marine impression and the innovative tendencies, which forms of course the tourism development.
This aspect could assert himself spontaneously thanks also to the rapid connections with the city of "La Spezia" from where it's distant only one railway station or some minutes by car.
It's connected also with the second village "Manarola"; further the coastal railway and road, by the evocative path under the lee of the sea well known as "Via dell'amore" (The road of love), which can be travelled over by foot in ca. twenty minutes.
"Manarola" as a village is part of "Riomaggiore" together with the hamlet of "Groppo" and "Volastra". |
