Our apartments are found in Riomaggiore, the first fraction of Cinque Terre that one finds moving from La Spezia towards the West. Located in the area of the Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre (National Park of Cinque Terre) and overlooking the Area Marina Protetta delle Cinque Terre (Marine Protected Area of Cinque Terre), it stands along the narrow valley of Rio Maior, an old river now covered, from which its name comes from. Buildings are scattered along its path, descending towards the sea. Its inhabitants (approximately 1500) live in a balance between the agricultural and seaside tradition and the innovative boost inevitably coming from the tourist growth.
For tourists who come for the first time in the Cinque Terre; you may want to visit the Welcome Centers which represent the first contact between the tourists and the Park. They welcome visitors and provide them with useful informations for the period of stay in the Cinque Terre. read more

The region of the Cinque Terre is one of the greatest Italian natural beauties and since 1998 it is a UNESCO world heritage site. Cinque Terre is composed of five villages in the province of La Spezia: Monterosso, Vernazza, Coniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. They all give onto the sea along the eastern Ligurian coast stretch between the promontories of “Punta Mesco” to the west and of “Capo di Montenero” to the east.
